Antique Rocking HorsesMally
Antique rocking horse of undetermined origin.
Mally is an old horse of unknown provenance having, at some point, had a restoration by Collinsons of Liverpool.
This is a very distinctively designed rocking horse, with some notable features, though we have as yet, been unable to relate him to a specific maker. The head is relatively small, pillar long and slender and the carving out in the saddle area distinctive. The brackets are three pin, a little like Lines. Diamond shaped pillar caps ala Collinsons/Baby Carriages may be from the restoration or original, impossible to say.
This rocking horse has just undergone a comprehensive restoration, including re-painting, new tack throughout, new natural horse hair mane and tail and renovation of the stand. It is a delightfully pleasing well finished rocking horse with the quality and investment value of an antique.
