Vintage and Antique Rocking Horses

Romany A Quality restoration of a large G and J Lines antique rocking horse.

Romany is a fully restored large G&J Lines rocking horse dating to circa 1914. She has had a complete restoration, which extends to replacement pillars on the re-furbished stand, complete repainting to a high and sympathetic standard, new mane, tail and tack. Consequently Romany is in full working order and “as new”, whilst still being a quality antique with all the investment value that entails. Romany has had a quality restoration, from the paintwork which is comparable to the original, the silver grey natural horse hair mane and tail and the quality leather used in her saddle and fittings. This includes a replacement side saddle pommel, common on rocking horses of this size and quality pre 1914, as young ladies were expected to ride properly from a very early age. They were detachable with a leather cover to be ridden without. The bridle and saddle are fixed, (on the original saddle rest.) The stirrups are adjustable.
