Mozart is a german made, plush covered push along horse dating approximately to the interwar period. Such horses were prolific
from Germany, with plush starting to replace hide by the 1920s. Many were made for export, especially to North America.
Mozart is in good condition
for his age, moderate wear to the plush covering which is otherwise intact. Original leatherette bridle, reins, martingale and saddle cloth. Original
glass eyes.
The platform has cast iron wheels, a strong indicator of a pre WW2 date. (Post war production was relatively limited from factories
situated in East Germany.) Very light woodworm on the base, treated! and not a significant to seriously weaken it.
