Meadow is a sturdy rocking horse made by Ian Armstrong of Durham. Armstrong horses are renowned for their laminate construction, with the design bringing out the wood pattern on varnished horses. On Marqua stand horses, the side rails are curved to give a classical bow appearance.
Meadow is in good condition for his age, about 25 years, with the exception of some wear to his original varnish coat. (This can be repaired by sanding back and revarnishing as new.)
He has his original black leather tack, consisting of a detachable saddle and bridle, all in very good condition and ready to ride. Likewise the stand is sound and in good condition.
Armstrong horses are renowned for being sturdy and a quality finish, with a distinctive design, with TLC they will go on rocking for another 25 years and more. Meadow represents a good buy for a known brand
Haddons Rockers are a contemporary rocking horse maker, originally based in Oxfordshire, who are known for a selection of GRP based rocking horses. These horses are light, very durable as long as the hard wearing gel coat isn't damaged and can go on forever.
