Delightful pair of triang hobby horses dating to circa 1950s. All original and in fair condition appropriate for age.
The heads are plastic moulds attached to the pole, with a pair of plastic handles on a steel rod extending from each side. The pole itself is of rectangular cross section, shaped at the head end to accomodate the head. The base end has a wooden cross member which supports a plastic wheel at each end on which the hobby horse can travel.
I offer these two as a pair, they have been together for some time, so it seems fitting they belong together
Triang, at the time the world's largest toy maker, derived from the Lines family businesses who started out making rocking horses. The brand was started in the 1920s by Lines Bros and by the 1950s had a number of factories around the world.
