This interesting toy originates from Russia. A particular feature is a mechanical device to produce a "whinnying" sound, operated by a pull cord at the back of his neck.
Whisky is made of papier mache on a wooden base, with wooden wheels. He has some wear and tear associated with an age we estimate to be circa 1970s. The horse has a makers transfer on the base, in russian script. One of the wheels has been replaced.
