A restored antique rocking horse by Lines Bros

Krispin is a beautifully restored antique Lines Bros sportiboy dating to circa 1927. He is ready for another generation of young riders. He has his original glass eyes and his stand bears the maker's original round badges. He's been given a natural horse hair mane and tail and a fully detachable saddle, saddlecloth and bridle for added play value.

Lines operated from 1850-1931 initially in the busy King's Cross area of London. They became Victorian England's largest rocking horse maker, yet maintained the highest qualities of workmanship and carving. G & J stands for the founding brothers, George and Joseph Lines

"Extra carving" refers to additional detailed carving put on a horse on the neck and legs to replicate musculature and give a more realistic look to the horse. It was often an additional extra on otherwise standard horses.
