Verity was probably an early horse by Withers, and possibly one of their smallest. Verity has a detachable bridle and a fixed leather saddle. The natural horse hair mane and tail is in chestnut. The finish is natural wood, the stand has been finished with a chalk type paint to give a "shabby chic" effect.
Withers was a bespoke rocking horse maker based in the Midlands, active between circa 1990 and 2009. Run by Robert and Linda Iliffes. He produced bespoke rocking horses to a variety of designs, undoubtably his masterpiece
