I'm Sally and I've been selling fine antique rocking horses for over 14 years now. Many of my sales in that time have been to North America and Australasia, so I so have some experience in shipping
the fabulous heritage that Britain has in these outstanding heirlooms.
Few countries came close to matching Victorian-Edwardian Britain for the sheer quality of our antique rocking horses, sadly a skill more or less lost now.
Antique rocking horses have significant investment value and by their nature a family heirloom that should pass from generation to generation.

Volumetric weights are widely used in the shipping industry and are calculated by measuring the height, width and length of the export case needed for each rocking horse in centimetres, multiplying them together and then dividing by 5000. Insurance and the suitably certified export case is included in the shipping quote.
A rocking horse with a given volumetric weight of 200Kg will therefore cost 200 * A$9 to ship to Australia, giving a shipping cost of A$ 1,800.
GST will be payable, depending on state.
